Glass Artists of the Pikes Peak Region (GAPPR)
invites you to participate in its second annual juried show of glass art.
The show will be held at the Cottonwood Center for the Arts, which currently
is open to visitors Tuesdays through Fridays, 10 am to 5 pm and Saturdays,
10 am to 2 pm. A gala opening for the show will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm
on Friday, April 30, 2010. The show will hang through Friday, May 21, 2010.

Glass in the Springs 2009, At Commonwheel Gallery
in Manitou Springs
"Glass in the
Springs": Our
first GAPPR show, opened on March 27 at Commonwheel Artists Co-op in Manitou
Springs.
The show, which runs through April 27, is a fine array of the work of many of
our members. Great thanks to Nancy Bonig,
whose organization and leadership resulted in broad participation and a smooth
installation of the show. And thanks to those
members who helped to set up the show. Although our opening reception on March
27 was snowed out, the April 3 reception
was great fun and many people will enjoy the show before it closes.
Finally,
on behalf of Amy, Mickey, and myself, thanks to all of you who have made the
first two years of GAPPR so successful.
Our membership has grown, we have had some excellent presentations on various
aspects of glass art, and we seem to be
achieving the main objective with which we set out—to stimulate conversations
and collaborations among the glass artists in
our area. And, under the leadership of our new officers, all that is sure to
increase. Up, up, up!
